Dear Friends and Parishioners,

We, as a community bound by faith, and through your abundant generosity, have realized the construction of new facilities at the school and parish through our Capital Campaign efforts. These new facilities: the Education and Outreach Center, Gymnasium and Parish Center/Anderson Hall, as well as, many physical plant improvements, enable us the resources needed to expand our ministries throughout our growing community. Our faith is in action every day.

07-30-2017Pastor's LetterRev. Daniel J. Sullivan, S.J.

Please join us in welcoming Fr. Sam Conedera, S.J. to the parish staff. Father Conedera will serve a one-year assignment here as St. Francis, arriving on August 3. A brief biography on Father Conedera, as provided by the Province, follows:

Sam Z. Conedera, S.J., was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1998 and earned a bachelor's degree in history and Spanish from Saint Louis University in 2002. In college, Conedera worked in the campus library, was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit honor society, and got to know a few Jesuit scholastics who were studying philosophy at the school. After graduation, he moved to San Diego to teach with AmeriCorps at Nativity Prep Academy and then entered a doctoral program in history at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Changes Within the Jesuit Provinces

Previously, our parish was within the California Province. This newly-structured province is quite large, serving the entire west coast: Nogales, Arizona to Fairbanks, Alaska.
