Infant Baptism

Welcome to the family! Baptism is birth into the new life in Christ. Since early times, Baptism has been administered to children, for it is a grace and gift of God.

Baptism, the Christian Community welcomes and accepts children at the invitation of parents. The parents and the Christian Community work together by example and education, to raise children in the Catholic faith. In order for parents and the community to welcome and work together with children, communal baptisms are offered, recommended and highly encouraged.

To be considered for Infant Baptism, children should be baptized by the age of 6. Once children have reached the age of 7, the age of reason in the Church, they would enter the programs of Ignatian Family Faith Formation,  Edge or Life Teen, depending on the age of the child, to prepare for the sacraments of initiation, including Baptism,  Confirmation and First Eucharist.
