The Jesuit Book Corner is a monthly series that reviews select books written by Jesuits and other well-known theologians. A different book is reviewed each month by either the author himself or by a member of our community. Books are available in the Marian shop or on Amazon.com.

Java with the Jesuits
Java with the Jesuits is a Sunday morning program, which takes place after the 9:00am Mass.
It features well-known Jesuits who speak on timely issues important to our Catholic faith. They will cover topics such as Religion & Science, Catholics & the Southwest, Vatican II & the Third Millennium, and Catholic Social Teaching to name a few.
Featured speakers include:
Fr. Allen Deck, SJ (November 20, 2016) — Distinguished Scholar in Pastoral Theology and Latino Studies, and author of several books including Evangelization for Cultures, Frontiers of Hispanic theology in the United States, and Francis, Bishop of Rome.
Br. Guy Consolmagno, SJ (January 22, 2017) — an American research astronomer, Direct of the Vatican Observatory, and Curator of the Vatican Meteorite Collection who will join us to speak about science and religion. He is the author of several books including: God’s Mechanics: How Scientists and Engineers Make Sense of Religion; The Heavens Proclaim: astronomy and the Vatican; Would You Baptize an Extraterrestrial?...and Other Questions from Astronomer’s In-box at the Vatican.
Fr. John Mossi, SJ (February 12, 2017) — Director of Benefactor Relations for Jesuits West, Fr. Mossi will present "Praying Your Desires." This is an introduction to the Spiritual Exercises and Daily Examen, two ways of praying taught to us by St. Ignatius of Loyola.
